Who we are

Sama Yatra is a travel agency based in Kathmandu, Nepal, that arranges pilgrimages and tours in Nepal and Bhutan. This policy explains what personal information Sama Yatra collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. Questions about it can be sent to samayatranepal@gmail.com.

What we collect

We collect only what you type into one of our two forms.

The booking request form asks for your preferred start date, the number of travellers, and the lead traveller’s name, email address, phone number and nationality. You may also give your address, your date of birth and any notes about your trip.

The contact form asks for your name, email address and question. You may also give a phone or WhatsApp number, the journey you are interested in, how many people are travelling and a preferred month.

If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send in that message.

Why we collect it

We use your details to answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, and, if you book, to arrange your journey. Nationality matters because permits and visas for Nepal and Bhutan depend on it. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell them.

Who we share it with

When you send a form, it is delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, and the site itself runs on Cloudflare. Both process the message only to deliver it.

If you book, we share the details a journey needs with the people who provide it: hotels, airlines and helicopter operators, our partner operators on the route, and the government offices that issue permits and visas. We share only what each of them needs for your trip.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. It loads no content from other websites, so visiting a page does not tell any other company that you were here.

Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to answer you and to arrange and complete your journey, and afterwards for as long as accounting and legal obligations in Nepal require. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to samayatranepal@gmail.com. If a journey is already booked, some details may have to be kept until it is complete and paid for.

If you are booking for someone else, such as a child or a member of your family, please make sure they are happy for you to share their details with us.

Changes to this policy

If the way this website handles personal information changes, this page will be updated and the date below will change with it.
