Founder's Message

The founder of Sama Yatra standing beneath Tibetan prayer flags above the Kali Gandaki valley in Mustang, Nepal

My father built Trek Mania Nepal to take people on a journey of adventure. I built Sama Yatra to take them on a journey towards your faith.

Sama Yatra is the pilgrimage arm of Trek Mania Nepal. We bring the same experienced guides, the same permits desk, the same transparency and honesty, and the same emergency evacuation protocols to journeys where the destination is a shrine rather than a summit.

For years, working in trekking and adventure travel, we have learned that there is a deeper purpose behind every journey. Every traveller has a reason for going somewhere: a goal, a belief, a question, or simply a desire to find peace.

Growing up in Nepal, I was introduced to many different cultures and religious traditions. I was taught to pray at temples and to respect monasteries. I have witnessed religious rituals, visited monasteries, and even been part of Christmas celebrations. Through these experiences, I have come to believe that, despite our different traditions and beliefs, many of us are searching for something deeply similar: peace, connection, love, kindness, and a greater sense of humanity.

This is the spirit in which Sama Yatra was established. We want to be your companion on the journey you believe in. We want to be part of your manifestation, your exploration, and your pursuit of whatever destination or purpose brings meaning to your journey.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many people who travelled for different reasons. Some travel in search of peace. Some travel to witness and experience something sacred. Others travel because of their faith and devotion. Sama Yatra is a shared platform for all of you. Whatever your reason, we want to be your partner on the journey.

At Sama Yatra, we place a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and transparency. We do not want to be just another travel company. We want to be a true companion throughout your journey.

For us, the journey is not simply about taking you to your final destination. It is about being present in the moments along the way, the people you meet, the places you experience, the challenges you overcome, and the memories you create. Our goal is to build genuine connections and long-term relationships with every person who travels with us.

“Sama Yatra is not just about reaching a destination. It is about experiencing the journey, together.”
